This morning, as was meditating on what to do, which road to take, at the end I just say a simple prayer, something like,“Lord, you know my heart. Do what’s best for me to glorify Your Name.”
I accept it that most important to delight myself in the Lord. Whatever it may come, whatever. As long as it glorifies God.
Thank you so much Jesus!
Today, there’s a minister coming to our premise. And it’s interesting to see what’s going on and how people respond to the news.
The building management has the stage and lighting prepared from yesterday.
I thank God that yesterday i could sleep so well.
On Sunday, our zircon leak. So we called the service man, and he said that he could only come on Monday. So we make appointment for him to come on Monday afternoon. Comes sunday night, and the zircon was well.
So Monday morning, i cancelled the appointment. Thanking God that the air con was fixed and we saved the money.
Come monday night when i reached home, and the zircon leaked heavily…….
Last night, was probably the bad night to sleep with the zircon dripping.
But comes the morning, the leaked was stopped. In fact i had one the best rest. Rested really well.
Thank God for the unexpected mercy and the good rest yesterday. I could face the day with the so many challenges.
This morning, as I read on My Utmost for His Highest, this term struck me: moral choices.
The warfare is not against sin; we can never fight against sin— Jesus Christ conquered that in His redemption of us. The conflict is waged over turning our natural life into a spiritual life. This is never done easily, nor does God intend that it be so. It is accomplished only through a series of moral choices. God does not make us holy in the sense that He makes our character holy. He makes us holy in the sense that He has made us innocent before Him. And then we have to turn that innocence into holy character through the moral choices we make.
A few days ago, I spoke to my wife,”indeed what was said that the Prophets and the Psalms talks about Jesus, could be more than what we think.”
For i was reading Psalm 43, and the following verse just seen in a new light:
Send out your light and your truth;
let them lead me;
let them bring me to your holy hill
and to your dwelling!
I feel really so blessed. Last week started to count the Lord’s blessings. And i am very surprised, each day there’re always something I could give thanks to the Lord. The way God answer our prayers is just so amazing!
On Sunday, i just picked up our girl birthday gift from one our family good friend. It was a balancing bike!! I cried when my wife told me. For previously i wanted to buy her balancing bike / normal bike. But the price is quite ridiculous for bike for toddler. I thot why have to spend so much money just for fun of a toddler? And the Lord knows my frustration. And gave the pleasant surprise. What a God…
Last Fri, we celebrated our 5th anniversary. And when our girl got tummyache, we decided to bring her to see doctor (at 9.30pm). There was only 1 clinic i know still open till late. To our delight, the doctor was someone we know from our church. And he is not supposed to be there. Only that night he was on duty there. What a God.
Last Thu, despite a bank didn’t give me interest because i missed out about $30 last month, because a transaction came late, i learned some other products. And i calculated we earned more through this. Also, a good friend helped to look after our girl today. And my wife managed to get the gifts for our dear friends. So happy we could give something to our friends. What a God.
Last Wed, also a church friend helped to look after our girl. She played a lot and made good friends. I managed to go home by train (save money), then ate dinner together with my daughter. Thank God for the whole arrangement, and His protection over us.
Last Tue, our girl got ballet costume from my colleague. She was about to give them away when she saw me and passed me the ballet costume. Was so happy. We wanted her to learn ballet, this probably to motivate her and us. What a God.
So, a ballet costume, a balancing bike, friends to help….what else could I ask? In fact today our girl got duplo from another family friend as her birthday present. God’s blessings just overpowering….one after the other….each day brings a new blessing. What a God.
I was clearing up a cabinet, found a lot of memorable notes. The Lord used it to touch my heart. The year and time when we struggle a lot with my wife’s first pregnancy. I still remember those difficult days and nights. By God’s grace we could give a lot (i didn’t remember we gave so much).
It’s weird. If it’s not because of God’s grace, I really don’t know. And indeed the blessing came true. Year 2012 was indeed one of the most fruitful year in my life. Our first girl was born. And she’s a lovely girl.
Today, 2 years has passed. And i feel it was just yesterday. We are expecting our second child. Our situation isn’t much different. I still feel stressed if not even more now.
I know somehow God always wait at our dead-end. When all our human efforts has failed, there God is waiting. Those letters and cards were the proof and sign of God’s faithful hands. When I look back, all these only possible because of His grace.
Thank you Lord. Please deliver us as you did before. In Him we trust.
I must tell this story. It’s one of the time when our faith is really built up. For days we’ve been looking for our voucher. I had asked my wife a few times. I had searched many places for 2 days. And once I cleared up the table, my wife search among the papers. We have emptied few bags. And we still couldn’t find the vouchers.
In lives, we certainly encounter the “Lost & Found” episodes. And these 2 incidents were quite remarkable on their own account, that I thought to write them down for long term remembrance.
Case 1:
When i washed up my little girl yesterday, i put her socks in my left pocket. And we had done this countless times. Only yesterday, for the first time, when i pulled out from my pocket, we found out, there’s only 1 sock.
My little girl ended up wearing only 1 side sock for some times. While I continued to finish my lunch (because the toilet need to go up one floor). She knew that her one sock is missing. But thank God she didn’t bother too much, so I could finish off my lunch quite peacefully.
After I finish the lunch, i brought her up to find the missing sock. Hopefully it still there on the floor where I dropped it. So i look down, trace back the path i took earlier on, and found nothing.
And i found the path to the toilet was actually locked (toilet was on cleaning). There was a short about 10m pathway where it could dropped and the cleaner found it, but now the door was locked. I bang the door, but the cleaner just ignore me.
Sadly, i went back and told me wife, we lost one sock of our daughter 🙁
Later on, on our way home, we passed through the toilet again. My wife asked me to check it one more time. I was feeling disgruntled, knowing that the toilet cleaning takes awhile and i would face the same closed door again!
Anyway, I tried. And it was true that the door still locked and the cleaning still in progress! Suddenly, a lady came from behind me and opened the door. I immediately caught her attention and both of us don’t speak the same language.
I kept mentioning to her that i lost a baby sock and i want to check. She kept mentioning she didn’t see the sock and I cannot enter. It lasted about 2 minutes, finally she went in and i was left outside. Shortwhile, i could see that she was coming, with my daughter sock in her hand!!
Wat a big joy there. She told me that she found it in dustbin, and somebody must had threw it there. So asked me to wash it first. I don’t care, so long the missing sock was found. I returned with big joy and told my girl and wife that we found the missing sock
