Today, i had another lunch box, with 4 loaves of home-made bread 🙂
Just to think and reflect on my lunch hour. How blessed I am! Bread made with love, by my wife who look after a very active toddler. It certainly must take a great love on her part. No wonder people keep telling us, I’m such a fortunate man!
Time is short
Life is temporary
Yet the task is big
And the needs are plenty

It’s an interesting word to come about.
I remember the first time talking with a friend, asking me about my daughter. And i said, I just hope to raise her so that she would be “useful” for the Lord.
Then the next day, another friend commented on watsapp about being useful.
But earlier that morning, I read letter of Philemon…..and there, actually Paul named a slaved Onesimus, which means useful. I don’t think they are all coincidence………How come so many….and
The day after that, I listened to a brazilian / spanish boy singing on youtube. This the interesting bit…break me, change me, fill me, use me O Lord. With more specific things: as lighthouse, as shelter, as bridge, as arrow……. How interesting
Useful for the Lord, and they come in many different forms. They stand against the environment for a purpose. I don’t know which role the Lord will assign me. So just now I prayed, and afterward, the word came to me “Onesimo“. Maybe that’s the short form of Useful for the Lord.
I read Tolkien’s book Children of Hurin……and i was troubled. It’s so dark….very different from his other works like the Hobbit & LOTR. But yesterday, i found out that he actually had a draft of his whole story….and interestingly in that final Battle, men was avenged justly.
I don’t know how to put it. But i feel it’s probably the same with our present life. There’re many things we don’t understand here, why certain things happened, or why bad things happened to good people. And rightly so, because we don’t see the whole story. We only read a small part of it. While i read only 1 book, which is a long chapter in Tolkien’s big book of Unfinished Tale. But actually he hid in his mind, the more complete whole story…….
I tell you, though he will not get up and give him anything because he is his friend, yet because of his impudence he will rise and give him whatever he needs. ~ Luk 11:8
In NIV translation, it’s read as “shameless“. And as checked dictionary, impudence has meaning of being brazen, rude, disrespectful, bold…………
I wonder…really wonder, and deep troubled…does Jesus teaching us to be impudence towards God? I am afraid that i might come close to that conclusion.
Was looking for something, and browsing through the old documents. I found many interesting treasures…:)
What my predecessor did, the problems he encountered, etc….
I thank God for him.
Recorded life, though unseen, God can use to bless still…
I vaguely remember what i’m about to write here. But the title is very clear to me. At that time, i wanted to write about this. Probably, after we die, then people read about our life. That’s life is a story.
From macro picture, God is the one who writes the story, with our cooperation. He has given us the role, and direction. Yet sometimes the script is written by Him, or sometimes He leaves it to us to write it.
I can wish, that my life would be a good story. Each person is unique, and so each story. Maybe mine is a short chapter in God’s big book. Or even it may just a small paragraph. I remember one of Israel judges only has 1 sentence. Yet he’s still counted as one the judges, one that saved his people.
Big or small, long or short, may i live true to God’s designed story.
Last weekend, we attended on our best friends thanksgiving & farewell service.
It’s really a moved session, with a lot of moving testimonies, video clips, and sharings. Yet at the same time, there’re fun parts also which as moving as previous. It’s his nature and personalities i think.
I will miss him and hope all the best for him; a new chapter, a new beginning, and bright future 🙂 He got a very smart wife (i agree what my wife said). Actually a prudent wife is blessing from the Lord already. So a smart one is a double blessing 🙂
I thank God, the farewell sparked something in me. All these years, there’re parts of me that were dying out of stress. And the fun and nostalgic of those crazy years sparked that flame…
So, thank you friend. You’re always be remembered 🙂

And now the guy managed to recover it back
And i’m redoing my old blogs
A new development in me that i noticed this morning. I would never learnt the meaning of tending…if not for this little baby. Little baby who messes things, who purposely disobey the instructions, but also the one who looks to you when in need, and in your arms sleep so sweetly.
