Learning from the Greatest King ever lived (1)

And when the queen of Sheba had seen all the wisdom of Solomon, the house that he had built, … there was no more breath in her.

1 Kings 10:4-5

The phrase caught my eyes the other day. Never heard or seen it before. But that expression is very profound. The whole story is beautifully crafted to tell us how majestic is the wisdom of Solomon. And this not an ordinary queen came all the way to witness / proof the news that she had heard.

It pointed me to another record that reflected on this phenomenal visit:

The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with the people of this generation and condemn them, for she came from the ends of the earth to listen to Solomon’s wisdom; and now something greater than Solomon is here.

Luke 11:31

And in my heart, I know what Jesus was talking about. Here stand someone who’s greater and wiser than Solomon. If the Queen of Sheba travelled all the way just to listen to the wisdom of Solomon, and it took her breath away, how much more the encounter with Jesus should amaze us?

I pray that every time you encounter Jesus, you’ll be amazed with His teachings, words, and person. He alone is Amazing.
