Life is so full of mystery. There are many events in life I can’t fully comprehend. So tonight I was not prepared. And as things come one after the other, I simply prayed and asking God for help.
After helping my wife to take the best course of action that I think what God wants us as a family (It takes a lot to listen and obey God). Then came the unexpected news, that a dear friend’s wife was called home to be with the Lord.
I was shocked and at lost. I know she was not well. She had brain cancer and yet she survived. When COVID19 came and all travels were stopped, I wondered how she could continue to travel for her treatments. And her husband was the one that encouraged me on God’s faithfulness, how God provided and his wife could alive & okay despite not able to travel for treatment. It was like a miracle and God’s providence.
Last year, when I went back to Surabaya, somehow I contacted him for a meet up, if we could visit him. Instead he invited us for lunch, and treated our family with a great lunch. What generosity. And there I saw his wife, talked with her, and she seemed in good health.
Late last year, he was established as an Emeritus, and his wife was there, supporting him, even testifying how they journeyed asnwering God’s calling. What a submissive and supportive wife she is.
So she didn’t talk a lot. She was very quiet and unassuming. But she’s very calm and confident. And I felt the loss for him and the family. She might be small & thin in stature. But she’s definitely a strong woman and pillar for the family. May the Lord be with you dear friend in the lost of your precious wife.
