I was reading the book on the early years of education, where many experts talk about how best teaching up children to the best of their potential. I pick up a few gems of insight. Basically, children need a safe, healthy, environment & relationships.<\/p>\n
Then i was reminded our dinner time conversation yesterday. My wife just shared how our little girl was accepted into BSF class. And she shared with me, the commitment of these helpers. From the age of 3 months, they dedicated time to read bible, quiet times, and memory verse. WOW!!<\/p>\n
I wonder what a 3 months old could do such that she should get that much labor from adult. We never thought that as important for 3 months old baby.<\/p>\n
How wrong I was \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
Children not only need healthy & stable relationship & environment. They also need first and foremost to know the Lord. There’s nobody more stable and loving than God. And we might be surprisedly wrong to assume that these little children cannot know God at such young age.<\/p>\n
Above anything else, they’re God’s given, entrusted to our care. Our main responsibilities as parents besides to their physical and emotional needs, is their spiritual needs. And we must not rob that part from the God who give them to us.<\/p>\n
