Last Sunday, we’re waiting for taxi, and our girl likes to take the blue cab. So we asked her to pray. We could see she prayed earnestly. For long, we didn’t get the cab. I told myself, how come God fail to hear such earnest prayer of a little child?<\/p>\n
Looking back, it was my mistake as a parent. I should guide my child to pray rightly. That not all we want, God is obliged to fulfil them. God is sovereign, and He could choose to answer ‘Yes’ or ‘No’, or ‘Wait’.<\/p>\n
But God is amazing. When we lose hope (or rather me), and we decided to abandon the waiting, we took bus, and about to board a train. Then i spot a blue taxi waiting (no driver) on the side of the road. My wife and daughter came over. I told them we could wait awhile to see, coz i thought the driver either eat breakfast or had business in the toilet. True enough when a gentleman was out from the toilet, he’s the driver.<\/p>\n
So God answered my girl prayer for the blue taxi that morning.<\/p>\n
Subsequently, we got another blue taxi on our journey after attending service.<\/p>\n
After lunch, again we’re looking for taxi, and the same as previous episodes, my girl prayed earnestly for blue taxi. This time round, we’re at taxi stand. And we’re no 2 in the queue. There came 2 taxi, blue & yellow. The first group of people, took the blue one, and we took the yellow one. Then and there, my girl cried out.<\/p>\n
Lesson for parents, take your children prayer seriously. Sometimes God wants us to make the prayer to happen. I had two options actually. I could ask the people in front if they’re willing to swap the taxi (which i’m sure they won’t mind), or I ask the people behind me to get on first, while we’re waiting for the blue taxi (which i’m quite sure also that my girl won’t mind).<\/p>\n
