And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love,\u00a0may have power, together with all the Lord\u2019s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ,\u00a0and to know this love<\/strong> that surpasses knowledge\u2014that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. ~Eph 3:17-19<\/em><\/p>\n

The thought came to mind. It’s quite natural for human to understand God’s punishment and justice. Somehow it’s embedded in our being. We have no problem and issue to understand God who punishes and judges. The Israelites doesn’t have difficulties to understand this sort of God. Who says, “eye for eye and life for life.”<\/p>\n

It is harder to understand God who loves. We have no problem with the first, but we have great difficulties to understand God who loves. Jonah has great difficulties to accept God who showed mercy to his enemies. And Jesus’ disciples had also hard time to believe when Jesus told them to forgive 70×7 times. And the Jews, had extremely hard time to understand the Prodigal Father who embarass himself by running & crying over a prodigal son.<\/p>\n

To me, that parable best describe the extent (which is limitless) of God’s love. When I try to understand it, it just stretch further and further. There’re seem to be no limit when I try to find the boundary. To any sins, he seems to forgive, and to any sinners, he seems to love still……<\/p>\n

As Paul prays for the Ephesians, I do long to know that love too, with all the saints. Love that found me first.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
