{"id":870,"date":"2014-10-12T23:08:45","date_gmt":"2014-10-12T15:08:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/potterdreams.com\/clay\/?p=870"},"modified":"2014-10-12T23:08:45","modified_gmt":"2014-10-12T15:08:45","slug":"walking-with-god","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/potterdreams.com\/clay\/walking-with-god\/","title":{"rendered":"Walking with God"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>&#8220;Do\u00a0<strong>two<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>walk<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>together<\/strong>\u00a0unless they have agreed to do so?&#8221; ~ Amos 3:3<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Tonight devotion is from Oswald Chamber&#8217;s about walking with God. He takes <em>Gen 5:24,&#8221;Enoch\u00a0<strong>walk<\/strong>ed faithfully\u00a0<strong>with<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>God<\/strong>; then he was no more, because\u00a0<strong>God<\/strong>\u00a0took him away.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The idea of walking with God is not new. Interestingly, it was mentioned only of one man, named Enoch, that he walked with God. Isn&#8217;t it amazing? There must be something very special about that walk. So special that the end of it, God took Enoch away&#8230;:)<\/p>\n<p>When i meditate on Amos&#8217; words, it&#8217;s kind like an invitation by God. He wants us to walk with him. He wants it. And <em>if we agreed<\/em> with him, we shall walk with him, just like Enoch.<\/p>\n<p>Other parts of the Scripture will tell us more about the agreement which God requires for the walk with Him. Below just some of the short things i find:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Deuteronomy 10:12 &#8211; obedience to God<\/li>\n<li>Psalm 84 &#8211; blamelessness<\/li>\n<li>Micah 6:8 &#8211; humility<\/li>\n<li>1 John 1 &#8211; in the light<\/li>\n<li>2 John 1 &#8211; in the truth<\/li>\n<li>2 Corinthians &#8211; by the Spirit<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;Do\u00a0two\u00a0walk\u00a0together\u00a0unless they have agreed to do so?&#8221; ~ Amos 3:3 Tonight devotion is from Oswald Chamber&#8217;s about walking with God.
