Will give a short talk for children tomorrow and on sunday. Thanks to Mona who edited my script and her comments that remind me to go down at children’s level\u00a0<\/p>\n
I don’t think it’ll be fantastic or I’ll be well equipped coz the short time I’ve for preparing. But trust it to God for whatever i have at moment.<\/p>\n
The idea of “good punches” teased out my brain this morning. If explaining is considered as a punch, then illustration followed by application are the finishing moves or deadly combinations\u00a0![\"\"](\"http:\/\/s.tabulas.com\/ik\/smilies\/yellow\/rasp.gif\")
. So borrowing from the boxing world, i hope to deliver good blows to the children on sat and sun\u00a0\u00a0Need to add some illustration and more personal touch…make it deadly combo…and at the end present them simple and relevant application….Hope will go something like this :<\/p>\n
Jab – jab [present – present] – shock – jab – jab – uppercut – finishing move [explain – illustrate – application]<\/p>\n
I might be still thinking as adult [only adult box, children will fight], and sometimes [like now], I wonder…perhaps a simple thing works better for children. A simple, pure [without pretense], and really simple [take and eat] works best for them.<\/p>\n
It’s something I give thanks [to be involved with children ministry], for it keeps me childlike and simple….take tis from me and I’ll become cold, dogmatic, and too high…but children keep me low, down-to-earth, and simple<\/p>\n
