Last week was a special week for me. We had school break & Easter week holiday, and we spent 3 days attending Belgrave Height Easter convention. What I am amazed at was the magnitude of power in women that I encounter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
I saw in the life of Gladys Aylward whose story I read on children book. She was a small woman (about 140cm in height). But her story just mind blowing. She served God in China, was there when war broke out (1938-1949) facing Japanese and the Communist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There are so many close to death events in her life. Every pages scare me as what would happen to her, would she be caught, would she lost her life, etc. It was really God’s miracles that kept her alive and shared her testimonies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A small girl, from a humble family, with little money, a small beginning, went to a big China under a big God. Her motto was,”I could do all things through Christ.” Indeed God chose the weak to shame the strongs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And I remember how on the first Sunday of Jesus’ resurection, He chose to appear first to Mary Magdalene. What a special privilege and honor. In gospel of Mark, He chose to tell the women whom in those days considered as nobody in society. Again, God chose the weak in the eyes of the world to shame the mighty. And He chose women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In my own life, I am surrounded by women around me. And they all are incredible people. When my little girl prayed, I am impressed by what she said given she knows so little. This week, my mum suddenly chose to send some money. I didn’t know what to say. She would have greater need than me, but she chose to give to me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lastly, during the 3 days conference, I listened to many good sermons. But one session that astound me the most was led by a woman. That was probably the best sermon through the whole 3 days. The amount of knowledge and maturity that she shared were really incredible. It came from the mouth of an “ordinary” woman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So this week, I would love to call it a woman’s week in my life. To remember that God chose the weak. He raises these women to shine for Him and to bless me in my journey of faith. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dear Lord, may you continue to pour your Spirit on your daughters. There is really no power greater than yours, no wisdom greater than yours, and no love greater than yours. Bless all your daughters with your strength, wisdom, and love; to defeat armies, heal the broken, and bring your good news.<\/em> That the world would see, it’s You who does all these.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Last week was a special week for me.
