It happened 3 years ago. Almost the end of our studies. I asked them this question: \u201cWhat have you learnt so far?\u201d \u2013 referring to the book of 1 Peter. And as normal as children, they can\u2019t summarize thing yet, so they will tell the recent things they know \/ heard \/ learnt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I was not very surprised when their answers around the things we\u2019ve taught them or things they just heard recently. Until one girl told me the thing she learnt:\u00a0\u201cGod cares for me\u201d ~ 1 Peter 5 : 7 ~\u00a0<\/em>. And it surprised me\u2026.because we didn\u2019t stress that point and how could she get that when nobody taught that \/ mentioned that earlier on?\u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n I guess the surprise still linger in my mind. Till 3 years later my mind came back to this, and i\u2019m very glad that she got the point earlier than I\u00a0.\u00a0\ud83d\ude42 Often I tell people and myself the need to be at chidren\u2019s level whenever we\u2019re dealing with them. And yet, actually i\u2019m still not yet downed at their level. I\u2019m still so tall & high with adult minds\u2026that i missed out the small & simple thing that a child sees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. ~ 1 Peter 5 : 7 ~<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n It may not the \u201cbig\u201d thing that adults talk and discuss about. For certainly there\u2019re many \u201cbig\u201d things adults like to discuss in 1 Peter. But it\u2019s a big thing for a child (that God cares for him\/her).
