It has been lately in my mind and the devotion from Oswald Chambers today seems very apt. A lot of time I have struggle with my weaknesses and limitations. I want to do a lot things, but I am limited by time, knowledge, strength, and probably wisdom. And I thought if only I have better time management, clearer mind, greater strength, smarter brain, etc, then I would be able to achieve more.<\/p>\n
And I was wondering what does ‘Power’ means when Jesus said when Holy Spirit comes you’ll be clothed with power from on high? Or what some writers talk about ‘Working from the place of Rest’? Or again what Isaiah said, “those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength like eagles?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
And I thought what Paul Tripp mentioned in his book about Marriage is quite helpful and probably key to my question. When we come to the end of ourselves and look to Jesus, there we will find grace that we need. And there is Bible verse that speaks clearly on that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Let us then approach\u00a0God\u2019s throne of grace with confidence,\u00a0so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. ~ Hebrews 4:16<\/em><\/pre>\n\n\n\nThat verse speaks of God’s promise, that if we come to Him, we will receive the help that we need. And by God’s help, we could do what we’re called to do, regardless the situation we are at that point of time. According to Paul Tripp, those moments are moments of grace. Because God is calling us to come to Him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There are many things could be said here. But just to cut this short, one thing that I like to challenge myself and whoever read this, do we dare to believe that God meant what He says? Therefore no matter desperate or ‘impossible’ seem the task or circumtance, His grace is more than able to meet us and help us overcome?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Probably if we prayed more with faith (that He does what He says He will do), we will see His power work out in our lives everyday. Not by my strength or ability, but by His grace I can do all things.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
