There is something here which struck the mind of the prodigal son. That’s I may suggest, is the kind of uprightness that His father live before him. For from young till now, he has witness the life of his father. How his father has lived and treated his workers, even his own sons. That life suddenly slapped him on the face, awakened something within his heart.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

As a lesson, I learnt that a consistent righteous<\/strong> life is certainly a blessing. At least, it serves as a reminder for the prodigals. God could use the consistent righteous life to remind sinners, the goodness and rightness of living God’s way. There’s something appealing there. It would serve as powerful witness and beacon of light for the lost and hungry soul.<\/p>\n

\u201cFather, <\/span>I have sinned against <\/span>heaven and before you.<\/span><\/span> \u00a0~ Luke 15:18<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Secondly, it serves as the standard which one may judge one’s own action. Without righteousness, there’s only lawlessness and chaos. And soon, the lost would be forever lost, for they won’t know anymore what’s right. With a consistent righteous life, it sets as consistent standard which one can know how far they have fallen. And hence a chance to seek reconciliation.<\/p>\n

I am no longer worthy to be called your son. ~ Luke 15:19<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

The standard was so obvious and clear, such that this son realises too well his shortcomings and unworthiness. There isn’t much better and clearer salvation hope than this consistent righteous life. In its own right timing, it is such blessing that draws sinners home. And they could be your sons and daughters.<\/p>\n

It’s said that action speaks louder than words. The loudest voice is probably this righteous life lived consistently. Better than the many rebukes or corrections. But the kind of standards, practices, moral fibre, lived out day in and out, \u00a024×7, with faithfulness and consistency that speaks volumes.<\/p>\n

I pray dear God, help me to have such consistent righteous life. That will serve long even after I disappear. To point my children the way to salvation.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
