<\/p>\nThis morning my eyes were so heavy that I couldn’t open it to read my morning devotion. So i just prayed that the Lord will give me the word for the day somehow. Trying to remember any verses, but nothing came to my mind. Then…an hour later, i thought i saw a verse. And as i began reading it (by this time i could open my eyes wider), i felt very familiar with the verse. I realized that it’s because it’s one of my fave tshirts. Without i realized, last nite my wife wore my tshirt to bed. Haven’t told her that this morning the word means something new to me <\/p>\n
So you also must be ready<\/strong>, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him – Mat 24:44<\/i><\/p>\n My thought went back and forth on what I did yesterday, and the Easter event 2 days ago, with some incidents during the week and earlier this month on this topic of Jesus’ 2nd coming. Few things that i thought good to share:<\/p>\n 1. I come for work with the lightness of heart, that I do my work and finish my day job such way that when Jesus come today, I could tell him, “I’ve finished my job for the day.” It’s such a liberating thing to know that ultimately the Lord himself our master, and we’re accountable to him. To be able to finish the day, with the feeling that we’ve done our part, is a liberating thing.<\/p>\n 2. I come to live with the mindset that I want to be clean when I meet my Lord. And any debts or outstanding things between me and my neighbor should be settled. I can’t be bothered with the world’s business. For the week before, there’re not small disagreement at work that quite affected me, or at least my conscience. So this morning, ignoring that, and settling it, I told myself, I want to meet my Lord clean, not meddle with things of this world, which has no value before His presence. What if someone not happy with me? It’s of no value to Him. What if I’m not happy with someone, it’s too also of no value to Him.<\/p>\n 3. Life is not just about I’m living to old age and waiting for time to tick. But there’s this dimension that my Lord may return sooner than I expected. So preparing myself, and to be able to say at any time and point of my life, “I’m ready Lord.” That feeling is wonderful, for we’re not waiting for someone who’s delaying His promise, but means…he’s coming to fetch me…..that i might not see death. That’s the whole new thinking especially last weekend when discussing about faith & what God has done.<\/p>\n 4. It set me free from worry and fear. For nobody knows the time. Nobody determines, only God above. So it’s all very small matters about life, when God rules and owns everything, and he could come anytime (especially time that we don’t expect).<\/p>\n Living with readiness, for my Lord might come today, it’s such a blessed anticipation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" This morning my eyes were so heavy that I couldn’t open it to read my morning devotion.
