\nThe words still ring true even today.
\nAfter all been said has long gone.
\nHow I treasure these words.
\nIt gives me strength and courage whenever I read them.<\/p>\n
When i am tired, the Bible is my bed;\n Or in the dark, the Bible is my light.\nWhen i am hungry, it is vital bread;\n Or fearful, it is armor for the fight.\nWhen i am sick,'tis healing medicine;\n Or lonely, thronging friends i find there in.\n\nShould i be lost, the Bible is my guide;\n Or naked, it is raiment rich and warm.\nWhen i'm imprisoned, still it ranges wide;\n Or tempest-tossed, a shelter from the storm.\nWould i adventure,'tis a gallant sea;\n Or would i rest, it is a flowery lea.\n\nDoes gloom oppress? The Bible is a sun;\n Or ugliness? It is a garden fair.\nAm i athirst? How cool its currents run!\n Or stifled?
