Story of A Luggage – 2

I spent about 6 days in Orlando, 4 days in Disney World + 1 day rest + 1 Disney Downtown..Another long story that shall be kept for other time.

Time to leave Orlando for Canada…so Thursday morning on 7th July, everything seems to be settled. We booked a shuttle bus, i had my breakfast, we checked out from hotel…and the shuttle bus didn’t turn up

Finally we got taxi sending us to Airport, faster and amazingly the taxi could carry all our stuff (2 super big luggages, 1 medium luggage, 1 dozz, 1 small luggage, 1 bagpack, 1 handcarry, and 1 laptop…total 4 luggages to be check-in later, and 4 hand-carries)

The drama happened at the check-in counter, where i underestimate two super luggage weight. The nite before i estimated one is 30-35 kg, and the other one 25-30 kgs. And to our horror, they are at 50 and 40 kgs, while the allowed luggage is only 32 kgs.

So we unpacked the biggest luggage…first attempt, we removed about 6 kg. What?? Another 6-7 kgs more to go, since they allow maximum of 37.5 kg.

So we did the 2nd unpacking and reshuffling….this time round, we managed to removed another 3 kgs. What…after removing all the heavy stuff and the big luggage seems empty now, we only reduced 3 kgs. Guess where those weight transfereed? To Andrew’s luggage…:D My sis was quite amazed….where do i learnt such efficient packing skills? Of course from Mission Trip

Well, we tried the last one, and suceeded to remove another 2.5 kgs. Thats it…if we can’t make it, we’ll throw away some stuff. And Thank God we could keep everything…and in fact due to shortage of time, they allowed the 40 kgs luggage to pass.

This time round, the luggage becomes our hero. Initially i packed only about 20 kgs. And so all the kgs are transferred to the saving luggage

Only when we arrived in Toronto, and i did little of unpacking to carry just one bagpack to New York, i found out that the soap has leaked into my clothes.    Apparently somehow the luggage was thrown very hard…and the soap (body wash) was pressed out…and with my limited clothes…i now have even less.  Thank God that the saving luggage now really sacrifice himself…not only my clothes affected…but i’ve dirty Andrew’s luggage (a dry clean i supposed…)

Was quite frustrated…i’ve to find laundry in New York to survive wearing clothes…have to clean Andrew’s luggage as well, and some other stuff that was ‘cleaned’ by the leaked soap.

Less dramatic…(maybe i’ve forgotten the details)…to unpack 3 times nevertheless is an unforgetable memory of UCANTA trip. Thank God that we made it….i think we spent about 1 hour at check-in point, and left with 30 minutes before boarding.

Where is God in this journey? He’s everywhere, guiding us through and bringing us pass the difficult and almost impossible situation…and reassuring to me indeed He’s the Sovereign Lord.
