Father Daughter night (1)

Tonight, i had an opportunity to look after her alone, while my wife went out to buy dinner. Somehow, she kind enjoyed and behaved well.

Once i put her on her high chair, she listened and behaved rather well. I boil 2 eggs for her, put a glass of water in front of her, pluck a banana, and took 2 plates on the table.

While i plucked the chicken on the table, she managed to peel the banana by herself (surprise me). And she finished off in a blink of an eye. I off the gas and took the boiled egg. When i peel the egg, she started to eat the chicken already…..1 banana + 1 chicken

Now waiting for the egg to cool down, and i started to get hungry. I took a yam bread, and took small part and gave it to her. She took it, and eat joyfully.

Looking at her, i gave her all the yam bread (the size of my palm), while i was eating 2 chocholate bread quickly. By the time i finished, she already finished her yam bread………1 banana + 1 chicken + 1 bread (time is already 8.30pm)

Now it’s time for the egg…i gave her the plate and the spoon….and being her favorite, she ate the egg. Of course throughout i gave her water to drink, and tease her with the food…and she came very lively….

At the end, she finished 1 banana + 1 chicken + 1 bread + 1/2 egg…and she’s still asking for food, while i finished only 2 bread, and haven’t had anything before.  On the other hand, earlier she ate 1 banana + 1 apple + a plate of rice & soto.

So i told her that’s enough. I will give her a cup of milk if she would sit down nicely while i do some work. She agreed. I told her to wait while i wash hand. As i left her to wash my hands……i kind hear God’s telling me how silly i am.

I am being an earthly father would give all food for my girl and go hungry……would not God the heavenly father do even more? That’s to paraphrase Matthew. Certainly…God will give for our needs…….in fact Psalm says that God does not withold good things from those who fear him……..

What a foolish i was, to worry…when God the Father look after us.

In my heart, i thank God for this girl. Through this, i come to know God better.
